Trust us, as we were looking for it for ourselves for more than 3 years. Once we tried it, we never wanted to hop on any other mats. These are made to last - and trust us, they have been tested very thouroughly. We took it around the world, for retreats, into the jungle, into the mountains, to Yoga Teacher Trainings, for teaching workshops and most importantly, for our own practice.

Sustainability
While doing something good for yourself, you also do something good for our climate. Our CRIU Eco Yoga Mat is made out of 100% natural rubber jute fibre with an ethical and sustainable production background and thus suitable for vegans. The compound is directly imported from long term family relations with producers in Bangladesh and then made in the UK.

Care instructions
Clean your mat with a damp cloth after practice and let it dry flat. From time to time wipe with just a little bit of vinegar in warm water to remove excess or build up of oils etc. Avoid contact with oils and store out of direct sunlight.
You can wash your mat in the machine with a cooling program and a little amount of detergent. Specially with the rubber smell in the beginning. Washing often is not recommended as it will dry out the fibers. Do not put through tumble dryer.

Smell of natural rubber & shedding
CRIU Eco Yoga are made of natural rubber which carry their own typical smell. This odour is completely harmless and will fade overtime. Air the mat regurarly to speed up the process or put it for once with a little detergent into the washing machine.
Initial shedding and scuffing may occur with some mats, specially the beige mats. However, this will stop after some time and this will not render the mat unusable. These mats might lovingly show you the tracks of your practice which we view as an integral part of doing yoga.
